I am so happy to announce that as of July 1 we Debt Free!...Remember when we began the Tree of Life Campaign in September five years ago? We were in debt to the Diocese of Rockville Centre to the tune of $1,228,000!...The Tree of Life Campaign was initiated ...by January we raised $1,000,000

The tree was originally intended to place memorials that I had received in response to a fund raiser for church renovations. To help fund the extensive renovations of our Church due to a fire, the Cave Company created our Mary, Queen of Heavens Tree of Life....Being on display before it was permanently placed into the new Church helped our Tree of Life grow faster than we expected.

It has been a few years since we installed the Tree of Life in our Church and I must say that the response from our parishioners has been overwhelming. In fact our tree is completely full. The leaves are a most fitting memorial for the deceased as well as for intentions for the living.
